Dan Holsinger

as Brandon

From Zoologist to Biologist to Medical Student, my life ambitions have consistently been science-related (and bland?). At some point along the way philosopher, theologian and artist found their way into my aspirations. As a Mormon, I served a two-year mission in Donetsk Ukraine from 1997-1999. I have fond memories of that time in the mission field. The four years following my mission were spent at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah acquiring a bachelor of Zoology degree with several minors. My first year of medical school began in 2003 and in 2004 much of the straight

Mormon-boy façade came down when I came out of the closet. At that time I was lucky to have support from both educated friends and intelligent family. I remain in pursuit of a medical degree with the hopes of practicing human reproductive medicine with a research focus on human sexuality.
